A performance by JPT can help your non-profit organization by:

JPT has performed for a variety of non-profit organizations, with missions ranging from health care to serving minority populations.

For our 2003-2004 season, we received a grant from brAIDS, a not for profit organization dedicated to building resources for AIDs prevention, education, treatment, and care. The grant enabled JPT to offer free performances to organizations catering to young adults who have been infected with or affected by HIV/AIDs, as well as those at risk.

Our performances may bring up emotions, memories, or relational problems that would be helpful to discuss. While Playback Theatre shares some elements with drama therapy, it is not therapy. However, at an additional fee, Jacksonvile Playback Theatre can meet with the members of your organization immediately following the performance. Members will be encouraged to take part in a time of processing, led by our certified mental health counselors. This will be a time for audience members to express emotions and questions raised by watching and taking part in the performance. Members with significant issues will be encouraged to seek counseling.

In addition to performances, JPT also offers workshops to teach your staff Playback forms and to discuss how to incorporate these forms in serving your clients.
